Understanding Health and Illness in Older Adults: The Interplay of Mind and Body presents information on the psychological complexities of adult development and aging. Additionally, Dr. Calandra works as a psychiatric clinical nurse specialist, providing intervention to patients and family members in acute psychological distress. Dr. Calandra brings over 20 years of diverse mental health experience to the classroom. As an officer in the United States Air Force she functioned as both psychologist and psychiatric nurse. Dr. Calandra has authored a number of health psychology articles for peer reviewed publications.
